Portland has always been home to a thriving and unique music scene. 


Dead Moon, The Decemberists, The Dandy Warhols, Portugal. The Man, and Modest Mouse are just a handful of iconic artists who began their journey in the city of roses. We're highlighting 6 local bands that you should be listening to so you can keep your finger (or ear) on the pulse.




The Apricots 


Portland indie-folk group The Apricots has been gaining traction since releasing their first single in 2021. With vocal harmonies and groovy melodies that will make you swoon, don't miss their two upcoming shows: Mississippi Studios on February 13 and The Six Below Midnight on March 8

Family Worship Center


Family Worship Center masters a distinctive blend of 1970s rock with soul and gospel influences. The band's debut album, Kicked Out of the Garden, showcases its commitment to a vintage rock' n' roll sound.

Rose City Band 


The ultimate psychedelic country jam band is located right here in Portland. Led by vocalist Ripley Johnson, also known for Wooden Shjips and Moon Duo, the group's cosmic country sound incorporates pedal steel and organ. Their unique sound has garnered them a dedicated fanbase which you may join yourself after their upcoming show at Mississippi Studios on February 23.




Jeffrey Silverstein


Jeffrey Silverstein seamlessly blends elements of folk, psychedelic rock, and cosmic country. His latest release, Roseway, named after the Northeast neighborhood, captures ambient instrumentals and ample twang.

Left On Tenth
